The Challenge

Restoration Academy needed prospective families to understand that a faith-based, private education wasn't out of reach financially, even when it looked that way from the outside. Many families zoned for underserved or failing schools didn't know that Alabama's Accountability Act (AAA) already made scholarship-funded tuition possible, so the real barrier wasn't cost. It was awareness.

The Approach

Ninety Nine Natives partnered with Restoration Academy to produce the AAA Stories Series, a two-film campaign built around real families rather than a generic explanation of Alabama school choice policy. Each film pairs honest parent and student testimony with a clear, non-technical breakdown of how the Alabama Accountability Act tax credit scholarship works, letting families carry the emotional truth while RA leadership carries the accuracy on AAA participation.

The Execution

Each 3-4 minute film follows the same three-act structure: a family's life before Restoration Academy and the assumption that tuition was out of reach, a clear explanation from RA leadership of how individuals and businesses can direct an Alabama income tax credit toward scholarship funding through AAA, and the specific, on-camera change in the student since enrolling. Two families anchor the series: one zoned for a struggling public school and referred to RA by an enrichment teacher, and the Harrison family, whose path to Restoration Academy became real once they learned scholarship assistance was available to them.

The Result

The AAA Stories Series gives Restoration Academy a pair of films built to do three things at once: explain what the Alabama Accountability Act is, show Alabama taxpayers exactly how to claim the dollar-for-dollar tax credit through AAA, and put a real, specific face on what scholarship access changes for a family. Built for donor meetings, AAA fundraising appeals, and enrollment conversations with families who assume, like these two did, that a school like Restoration Academy isn't within reach.
