The Challenge

Living Hope's Agricultural and Business Training Programme offers something rare, a real path out of poverty through 18 months of hands-on farming and business education, not a handout. But that story is hard to tell in a single piece, since the program has to reach three different audiences at once: students deciding whether to enroll, donors deciding whether to fund it, and communities across Cape Town who may not know the program exists at all.

The Approach

Ninety Nine Natives produced this film as part of a larger series on Living Hope's ministries, built around the real arc of the program itself, from a student's first day in the classroom through the hands-on work of planting, tending, and eventually selling their own produce.

The Execution

The film follows the program's actual structure, agriculture training paired with business, life skills, community development, and discipleship, showing what it looks like when someone learns to run a farm as their own small business rather than simply work someone else's land. Real students and staff carry the story, showing the day-to-day of the 18-month program rather than a general statement about poverty or opportunity.

The Result

The film gives Living Hope a single piece built to do three jobs at once: recruit new students into the program, make the case to donors for continued support, and raise general awareness of a ministry doing real, sustained work rather than short-term aid. As part of a larger series across Living Hope's ministries, it lets the Agricultural Training Programme stand on its own while still fitting into the fuller picture of the organization's work.
